Futronic FS83 serial Fingerprint Authentication Module (sFAM) combinesboth a high performance fingerprint scanner and a recognition engine intoone device. It has internal memory that can store up to 2500fingerprint templates.
Any host system can control the FS83 via the standard 4 wires serialinterface to enroll finger and recognize the finger. The recognition resultwill be sent from FS83 to the host. It can be used to add fingerprintrecognition function to existing products such as an access controldevice, point-of-sale machine, electronic safe, etc.
Fingerprint images and templates can be transferred between the FS83 andthe host system for making a flexible application. Futronic providesdevelopment tools to customer free of charge for integrating the FS83with host system.
