Finger vein recognition is a highly secure biometric identification technology. The Futronic VS80 finger veinscanner is designed to capture the best finger vein images for this application. An infrared light source isused in the VS80 which works together with a high quality CMOS image sensor to provide a clear and highcontrast finger vein image for matching. It is carefully designed to remove the unwanted backgroundimage which may decrease the matching accuracy. Finger vein matching software is also availablefrom Futronic as a separate product.
